What Is A Cmount Fitting?
Cmount is a mount type of that classifies how a lens fits to a camera. In the world of surveillance these identifies with the c-mount,
box style camera. Mostly c-mount cameras do not come with a lens. You do have to purchase the lens you need for your video shot
in your CCTV setup. There are all types of lens that fit on to a c-mount camera. You can find a c-mount type of lens

However, cmount lens has a male type thread which mates with a female thread on the camera. The threads for c-mount cameras

Fixed lenses are however, not as popular as most varifocal lenses. Varifocal lens gives you an all in one solution. You see c-mount varifocal lenses
ranging from 4mm-9mm, 2.8mm-12mm, 5mm-100mm and so on. Each one of these lens works different in the ratio of field-of-vision vs. distance. In certain
